In Georgia, the tradition of herding horses from the lowlands to the mountain uplands and back to the lowlands’ pastures has been kept alive. It’s a beautiful, emotional, and fascinating process. Most of our horses are taken to the summer green pastures in the mountains every spring. We organize mountain tours there during the summer, and in October, the horses are taken back to the lowland pastures.
